Marine Engine Fitter (Ref. 3067)


• Assist in preparing tools and equipment for gearbox maintenance
• Assist in the rigging of gearbox components for maintenance purposes
• Monitoring and maintaining rigging equipment
• Breaking down rigging equipment and conducting post-rigging inspections
• Carrying out works ashore, shipyards or on-board frigates, dealing with major overhauling, inspection, maintenance, commissioning of on-board systems
• Provide assistance to the service team during operation and maintenance work as and when required without compromising the safety and well-being of the personnel and company property
• Other steel structural work:
o Cutting of steel structure or bolt using a flame torch
o Carried out simple assembly/dismantling work with bolts/shackles/cable ties
o De-rusting and painting of steel components
• Workshop housekeeping
• Ensure compliance with relevant government regulations and the company’s QHSE policies.
• Any other responsibilities as instructed by the management


• At least two years of relevant working experience as a rigger
• In-depth knowledge of rigging equipment and heavy machinery
• Physically fit to work in machinery space, workshop and noisy environment
• Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions
• Able to commence work immediately will be given a priority
