Hostess/Captain - Chinese Restaurant - CKS

Greeting the guests when they enter and leave, present menus, and explain daily specials to customers.

· Answering phone calls and booking reservations with accuracy to ensure no overlap.

· Assigning guests to tables they prefer, while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive the right number of customers.

· Keeping restaurant information updated on all third party platforms.

· Managing restaurant systems to update menu or promotional items.

· To provide the highest standard of service based on hotel’s standard operating policy.

· Keying in of orders into POS and settling payments from customers.

· Answer questions related to menu items.

· Required to do cashiering duties and/or closing as instructed.

· Generate report from POS on types of meals served for the day.

· Good knowledge of the menu and specials.

· Helping out with other positions in the restaurant as needed.

·Providing great customer service.

Job Specification

· Minimum ‘N’ or ‘O’ levels equivalent

· WSQ Follow Food & Beverage Safety and Hygiene Policies and Procedures

· Other existing and/or new Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ)

· Experience in a in Food & Beverage/Hotel industry will be an added advantage

· Able to work in a fast pace environment

· Willing to perform shift duties (including weekends and public holidays)
