Duties and Responsibilities:

The Chef De Partie reports to the Sous Chef & Executive Chef. During the operational phase, the Chef De Partie is responsible to oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of the assigned. Direct the Demi Chefs in their section in preparing, cooking, and presenting culinary dishes; enforcing strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen. The additional details include:

• Prepare recipes for new menus and daily specials
• Ensure quality of food items to be prepared daily and minimize food wastage
• Manage a section within the kitchen with the assistance of a Demi Chef, ensure that they are fully trained and understand their duties.
• Ensure that dishes are prepared and cooked according to the specific restaurant standards.
• Ensure that stock is rotated and controlled within the specific section of the kitchen.
• Ensure full understanding of the functional administration, policies, procedures, standards and guidelines of the bakery/restaurant are carefully adhered to.
• Maintain a detailed knowledge of the full menu and be able to explain dish descriptions.
• Work closely and cooperate with other staffs in order to achieve highest possible satisfaction of food items.
• Organizing of merchandise to maintain tidiness and cleanliness of pastry/food display
• Assume any other suitable duties as and when assigned by the company.
