We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Baker to join our bakery team!
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries and other bakery products according to recipes and SOPs
- Handle dough preparation, mixing, fermentation, shaping, proofing and baking
- Ensure consistent product quality, taste and presentation
- Monitor daily production and ensure products are ready on time
- Guide and support junior bakers in daily operations
- Maintain proper stock levels and assist with ingredient ordering
- Control food wastage and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness of the bakery, equipment and work areas
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards
- Assist with new product development when required
- Perform other duties assigned by the Head Baker / Management
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant bakery experience
- Good knowledge of bread and pastry production
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to guide and supervise junior team members
- Good understanding of dough fermentation, proofing and baking techniques
- Responsible, organised and detail-oriented
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work shifts, weekends and Public Holidays
- Food Safety Course Level 1 certification preferred
