Merchandising Assistant/Executive (2-Month Contract)
We are seeking a detail-oriented Merchandising Assistant/Executive to support the Merchandising team on a 2-month contract.
You will assist with purchase orders, item masters, pricing, product set-up, shipment tracking, opening allocations, and transfer orders. The role requires accuracy, organisation, and timely follow-up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Upload and check purchase orders against approved plans.
- Identify and flag mismatches, errors, and pricing discrepancies to the Merchandising Leader, log them, follow up until resolved, and communicate updates in a timely manner.
- Pull together item masters with the details needed (style-colour, size, barcode, cost, retail price and category) and keep them clean and complete.
- Prepare and maintain item masters and product details.
- Audit pricing and resolve pricing discrepancies.
- Ensure new products are system-ready and POS prices scan correctly.
- Track inbound shipments and follow up on outstanding items.
- Prepare opening allocations and transfer orders.
- Maintain trackers, records, and clear communication with relevant teams.
- Support Merchandising, Visual, Operations, Service, and DC teams.
- Follow company SOPs and established merchandising processes consistently.
- Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including filters, lookups, and basic formulas.
- Retail, merchandising, supply chain, or ERP experience is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, organised, dependable, and proactive.
- Good written communication skills.
- Able to commit to Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, for the full 2-month contract.
