Mechanical Technician (Cleanroom)

Responsibilities:
- Assemble precision mechanical components, frames, panels, and sub-modules as per engineering drawings, BOMs, SOPs, and customer work instructions
- Perform alignment, fastening, torquing, levelling, and adjustment of mechanical assemblies to tight tolerances
- Use calibrated hand tools, torque wrenches, fixtures, and gauges
- Support module integration activities and pre-shipment preparation
- Comply fully with cleanroom protocols (gowning, ESD control, FOD prevention, material handling)
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, tools, fixtures, and components
- Handle sensitive semiconductor parts to avoid particle, ESD, chemical, or mechanical damage
- Execute in-process quality checks and basic functional verification
- Ensure compliance with customer quality requirements, ISO 9001, and internal QMS procedures
- Accurately complete production travellers (MRs), checklists, and traceability records
- Identify, report, and support resolution of non-conformances (NCRs)
- Adhere to all EHS, cleanroom safety, and equipment handling procedures
- Properly use PPE and follow safe lifting and handling practices
- Report safety hazards, incidents, and near misses immediately
- Work collaboratively with manufacturing engineers, quality, and planning teams
- Support Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians as required
- Any ad hoc jobs assigned by the leader.
Requirements:
- ITE/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Fitting, Tool & Die, or equivalent
- 2–6 years of hands-on experience in precision mechanical assembly
- Prior experience in semiconductor, electronics, medical devices, or high-precision contract manufacturing preferred
- Exposure to cleanroom manufacturing environments is highly desirable
