Summary
The Managing Director, Airport Operations provides strategic leadership for dnata’s airport ground handling and cargo operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-focused services. The role is responsible for driving business growth, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, stakeholder engagement, and overall financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute business strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
- Oversee airport operations, cargo, commercial, finance, HR, and safety functions.
- Drive operational excellence, digital transformation, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with aviation, safety, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage overall business performance, including P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, airport authorities, regulators, government agencies, and industry partners.
- Lead, develop, and empower senior leadership teams while supporting succession planning and workforce development.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on safety, service excellence, accountability, and engagement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Aviation, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of senior executive leadership experience in aviation, airport operations, logistics, ground handling, or related industries.
- Proven experience managing full P&L responsibility and driving business growth.
- Strong track record in organizational transformation, innovation, and change management.
- Experience leading large, multicultural, and operational workforces.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Airport Pass.
