The Head of Airside leads all airside operations, including ramp and baggage services, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant ground handling operations. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all airside operations, including ramp and baggage services.
- Drive operational excellence, safety, service quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead and develop large operational teams, fostering a high-performance and safety-first culture.
- Act as the senior escalation point for operational, safety, and service issues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with airline customers, airport authorities, and regulators.
- Ensure audit readiness and compliance with aviation standards and company policies.
- Lead transformation, process improvement, innovation, and digitalization initiatives.
- Oversee workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning.
- Monitor operational and financial performance to improve productivity and cost efficiency.
- Promote employee engagement, accountability, teamwork, and service excellence.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in airport operations, ramp handling, or ground handling services.
- At least 5 years of leadership or management experience.
- Proven ability to lead large, multi-functional teams in a high-volume operational environment.
- Strong knowledge of ramp operations, baggage handling, aviation safety, and regulatory requirements (CAAS, IATA, ICAO).
- Strong stakeholder management, operational leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.
