Ipanema World Music Bar, a vibrant bar filled with global music and irresistible bar bites, is looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Part Time Kitchen Assistant to join our fast-paced, music-filled kitchen! Be part of a lively team where great food, good music, and teamwork come together.
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support our chefs in daily kitchen operations, assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and ensure the kitchen runs smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients.
- Help prepare and portion ingredients according to kitchen requirements.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized kitchen and workstation.
- Ensure proper food storage and follow food safety and hygiene standards.
- Replenish kitchen supplies and assist with stock organization.
- Support the kitchen team with other duties as required.

- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Responsible, reliable, and committed to cleanliness and hygiene.
Work Environment: Primarily within our establishment, with occasional travel to sister outlets to render assistance.
Required Academic Qualifications & Experiences
- No formal culinary qualification required.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced restaurant or bar kitchen would be an advantage, but training can be provided
Job Type & Salary: Part Time at $14 Per Hour
