Commis Cook – HALAL Korean Fried Chicken Shop
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Commis Cook to join our Korean fried chicken outlet in a fast-paced food court environment. You will support daily food preparation, cooking and kitchen operations while maintaining food quality, consistency and hygiene standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook Korean fried chicken and other menu items according to standard recipes.
- Operate fryers safely and ensure correct cooking time, temperature and food quality.
- Prepare and portion chicken, sauces, seasonings, garnishes and other ingredients.
- Toss and coat fried chicken with sauces and seasonings according to orders.
- Prepare side dishes and other menu items when required.
- Set up and replenish ingredients and supplies before and during service.
- Ensure orders are prepared accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain consistent food quality, portioning and presentation.
- Follow proper food storage, labelling and stock rotation procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of fryers, equipment, workstations and kitchen areas.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements.
- Minimise food wastage and handle ingredients responsibly.
- Assist with receiving and storing stock when required.
- Perform opening and closing preparation and cleaning duties.
- Carry out other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Outlet Manager.
Requirements
- Basic kitchen or cooking experience preferred.
- Fried chicken, Korean cuisine, fast food or food court experience is an advantage.
- Comfortable working with fryers and in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Responsible, punctual and a good team player.
- Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
- Training will be provided for suitable candidates.
