☕ Roastery & Logistics Assistant — Hiring now!!
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Roastery & Logistics Assistant to join our roastery team. You will ensure every bag of coffee that leaves our doors is freshly roasted, accurately packed, and delivered on time to our retail, e-commerce, and wholesale partners.
No experience required—we will train you!
What You Will Do:
1. Coffee Packing & Fulfillment
- Pick, weigh, grind (to spec), heat-seal, and label coffee orders for consumers and wholesale clients.
- Monitor roasted coffee aging timelines to ensure maximum freshness prior to packing.
- Ensure bags meet our strict visual and quality standards eg. correct roast date.
2. Inventory & Roastery Support
- Assist the roasting team with receiving, moving, and weighing green coffee sacks and roasted batches.
- Rotate green coffee, roasted stock, and retail bags using the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method.
3. Dispatch & Delivery Operations
- Prepare outgoing packages with correct shipping labels, commercial invoices, and carrier paperwork.
- Help stage, pack, and transport coffee, equipment, and merchandise for coffee cart events.
4. Quality & Workplace Maintenance
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety across packing stations, bean storage, and warehouse spaces.
Who We Are Looking for:
- Extremely precise with weights, customer orders, and label accuracy.
- Comfortable with physical tasks, including lifting coffee sacks (up to 20–25 kg).
- Committed to hitting daily shipping deadlines.
Key Requirements:
- Able to lift heavy weights of up to 20-25kg.
- A valid class 3 driving license (to assist with deliveries when needed).
- Basic computer literacy.
- Willingness to work in an active roastery environment (exposure to coffee dust, heat, and machinery noise).
