Job Description
Carlitos Casa de Comidas, a vibrant Spanish tapas bar in the heart of Joo Chiat, is looking for a hands-on Floor Supervisor to lead our front-of-house team. You'll be the face of the floor during service, ensuring every guest gets an authentic, warm, and well-paced dining experience true to Spanish tapas culture — while guiding and supporting the service team day to day.
What You'll Do
- Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff during service to ensure smooth, timely, and attentive guest experiences
- Lead by example on the floor — greeting guests, managing seating flow, and stepping in on service when needed
- Brief the team before each shift on menu highlights, specials, and any service priorities for the day
- Handle guest feedback, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating where necessary
- Monitor table turnover, reservations, and walk-ins to optimize floor operations
- Ensure service standards, cleanliness, and presentation are consistently upheld
- Support training and on-the-job coaching for waitstaff
- Assist with basic administrative duties such as staff scheduling input, stock checks, and end-of-shift reporting
- Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service
What We're Looking For
- Prior experience in a supervisory or senior service role within F&B, ideally in a bar, restaurant, or tapas/small-plates setting
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Guest-focused mindset with a calm, solutions-oriented approach under pressure
- Familiarity with Spanish cuisine culture is a plus, but not required
- Willing to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Work Schedule
- Full-time, 5-day work week, 44 hours per week
- Overtime pay for hours worked beyond 44 hours/week
