Asteem Products Pte Ltd is seeking a motivated and technically minded Assistant Sales Engineer to join our team.
Key responsibilities
- Provide good customer service and sales support to existing customers.
- Attend to customer enquiries and understand their requirements.
- Prepare product costing and quotations based on customer requirements.
- Visit new and existing customers to develop and maintain good customer relationships.
- Follow up on enquiries, quotations and sales opportunities in a timely manner.
- Keep customers informed of project and delivery progress.
- Liaise and coordinate with the manufacturing/production team and other internal departments to ensure customer requirements and delivery schedules are met.
- Seek customer feedback and follow up on opportunities for improvement and further business.
About you
- Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Preferably possess a valid Class 3 driving licence.
- Working command of spoken and written English for preparing quotations, proposals and day-to-day business communication.
- Able to communicate with our Mandarin-speaking customers and vendors.
- Basic understanding of engineering concepts and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings would be an advantage.
- Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand customer requirements and work with the team to propose practical and suitable solutions.
- A strong team player who enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues and contributing towards common goals.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
- Willing to seek guidance, share ideas and learn from experienced team members.
- Fresh graduates and candidates with little or no sales experience are welcome to apply.
- Product and sales training will be provided to the successful candidate.
