**Job Summary**
We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team on a part-time basis. This role supports the Head Chef in delivering exceptional culinary experiences whilst maintaining high standards of food quality and kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, leadership, and a passion for the food and beverage industry.
**Job Description**
• Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management to ensure consistent quality and presentation
• Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff activities, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety standards
• Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and minimise wastage to maintain cost-effectiveness
• Step in to lead the kitchen operations during the Head Chef's absence, maintaining service standards and team morale
**Job Requirements**
• Minimum 3 years of culinary experience in a professional kitchen environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
• Culinary diploma or equivalent certification from a recognised institution
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP principles, and kitchen hygiene standards
• Excellent organisational and communication skills with ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and public holidays as required for part-time schedule
• Passion for culinary excellence and commitment to continuous learning
