As a Pastry Baker you are responsible for preparing and producing high-quality pastries, cakes, chocolate products, and all other confectionery products while maintaining consistent taste, quality, presentation, hygiene, efficiency and food-safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake pastries, cakes, breads, cookies, and other confectionery products.
- Follow approved process specifications and presentation standards.
- Monitor baking temperatures and timings to ensure consistent product quality.
- Inspect ingredients and finished products for freshness, taste, texture, and appearance.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels and prepare ingredients for daily production.
- Label, date, store, ingredients and finished products using FIFO methods.
- Minimise ingredient wastage and report production variances.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, baking equipment, utensils, and storage areas.
- Comply with food-safety, hygiene, and workplace-safety requirements.
- Report equipment faults, ingredient shortages, and quality concerns promptly.
- Support packing, inventory checks, and other kitchen duties when required.
