Field Inspector (Hawker Centre Operations)
Working Location: Various Hawker Centres
Working Hours: 8.30am - 6pm (Mon-Thu), 8.30am - 5.30pm (Fri) / Night shift – 2 to 10 times a month (between 12am-7am, no weekends/PH)
Contract Duration: 3-9 months
Job Description
My client is looking for a Field Inspector (Hawker Centre Operations) to support the smooth day-to-day operations of assigned hawker centres.
You will be involved in on-site inspections, stakeholder engagement, handling feedback and administrative duties. This role is suitable for someone who enjoys working with people, is comfortable working in a hawker centre environment and is willing to perform night deployments when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of hawker centres to monitor cleanliness, maintenance and compliance with operational requirements
- Attend to stallholder feedback, enquiries and on-ground issues, and escalate matters where necessary
- Conduct night inspections to monitor late-night deliveries and operational activities
- Monitor operator performance and conduct audit checks
- Work with operators to follow up on incidents, emergencies and service-related matters
- Handle phone calls, emails and walk-in enquiries from stallholders
- Engage stallholders and follow up on relevant operational matters and initiatives
- Address feedback and concerns professionally and promptly
Job Requirements
- Diploma in any discipline.
- Comfortable working in a hawker centre / market environment
- Willing and able to work night shifts.
