Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) policies, procedures, and risk management programs across project sites.
- Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with WSH regulations and safety standards.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare and maintain WSH documentation, including Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Permit-to-Work (PTW), and statutory records.
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox meetings, and WSH training for employees, subcontractors, and site personnel.
- Monitor high-risk activities, including lifting operations, work at height, and confined space entry.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities on WSH compliance matters.
- Assist the Project WSHM in preparing, implementing, and maintaining WSH documentation and management systems
- Ensure full compliance with, LTA & PSA projects-specific WSH/WSHE requirements
- Lead & assist incident / accident investigations & prepare reports for authorities
- Coordinate the company's bizSAFE STAR accreditation and ISO 45001:2018 certification programmes and renewal process
Requirements
- Registered with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) as a Workplace Safety & Health Officer
- Minimum 1 year of practical experience in construction or Marine works
- Able to assume duties of an Environmental Control Officer (ECO)
- Good knowledge of Singapore WSH regulations, risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety management systems.
- Local Singaporeans / PR & S-pass can also apply
Advantageous
- Experience in rail tunnel, underground infrastructure, or MRT-related construction
- Familiarity with LTA/operator access protocols
- Knowledge of bizSAFE processes and ISO management systems
