Chef de Partie
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and present Peranakan dishes according to Godmama’s recipes, standards and portion guidelines.
- Take charge of the assigned kitchen section and ensure smooth operations during lunch and dinner service.
- Complete daily mise en place and ensure the section is fully prepared before service.
- Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, presentation and portioning.
- Work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure timely preparation and service of all dishes.
- Monitor ingredients and stock levels and inform the Chef when replenishment is required.
- Follow proper food storage, FIFO, labelling and date-marking procedures.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas are properly cleaned and maintained.
- Assist with receiving and checking ingredients to ensure freshness and quality.
- Perform other kitchen duties assigned by the Head Chef or management.
Requirements
- Relevant kitchen experience, preferably in Peranakan, Asian or local cuisine.
- Able to handle a kitchen section independently during busy service.
- Good understanding of food preparation, hygiene and kitchen operations.
- Responsible, organised and a good team player.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willing to learn and maintain Godmama’s food standards.
- Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
