Working Location: Based in Great World City (GWC) but required to travel to Shipyard at 5 Jalan Samulun (2-3 times weekly)
Working hours in the shipyard: 7.30am to 5.00pm (transportation provided in the morning)
Key Responsibilities
Prepare month-end closing entries for Singapore and Saudi entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Review general ledger transactions and ensure all transactions have been properly recorded and accounted for
- Prepare audit schedules for Singapore and Saudi entities
- Assist in balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Assist on annual audit and preparation of financial statements for Singapore and Saudi entities
- Prepare tax computation for Singapore and Saudi entities
- Prepare and submit VAT returns timely and accurately
- Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions between entities
- Support process improvements
- Serve as a key finance business partner to the Saudi subsidiary by providing guidance to support business operations, while ensuring compliance with established SOPS, internal policies and control framework
- Handle ad-hoc assignments including preparation of management reports and support for regulatory submissions (e.g. government surveys)
Key Requirements
- Min 3-5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, preferably in a regional or multinational environment
- Strong knowledge of Singapore FRS/IFRS, GST and corporate tax
- Experience in audit and tax compliance across multiple entities
- Experience handling cross-border operations, preferably involving the Middle East
- Proficient in MS Excel and Words
- Experience in managing a team
- Experience in SAP will be advantage
Education
Bachelors in Accountancy or Finance
