Job Summary
Join Maple Dental @ Kovan as a Dental Surgery Assistant, supporting dentists with patient care, managing instruments, handling front desk tasks, and maintaining clinic operations in a fast-paced dental healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists by preparing and providing appropriate instruments and materials for dental procedures to ensure smooth treatment flow
- Monitor and support patient comfort throughout dental treatments to enhance patient experience
- Clean and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to maintain hygiene and safety standards
- Conduct regular stock checks and manage inventory to ensure adequate dental supplies are available
- Perform front desk duties including greeting patients courteously and professionally
- Manage patient appointments, respond to walk-in and phone inquiries, register patients, process billing, and collect payments accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and general housekeeping of the clinic to provide a safe and welcoming environment
- Communicate effectively with team members to support a collaborative and efficient workplace
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment by multitasking and prioritizing duties efficiently
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Prior experience in dental assisting is advantageous but not required; on-the-job training will be provided
- Willingness to work night shifts and weekends to support clinic operations
- Computer literacy to manage appointment systems and billing processes
- Strong teamwork skills with good communication and interpersonal abilities
Other Information
- Competitive remuneration including overtime pay and Annual Wage Supplement (AWS)

- Salary range: $2,200 to $2,800 per month, depending on dental experience
