Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation
- Operate spring coiling, forming, grinding, and secondary-process machines.
- Load raw materials into machines and ensure proper machine operation.
- Follow work instructions, technical drawings, and production plans.
- Monitor machine performance and report abnormalities to the Setter/Technician or Supervisor.
- Achieve daily production targets while minimizing downtime.
Quality Control
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of springs during production.
- Use measuring tools such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and spring testers.
- Ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards.
- Segregate and report non-conforming products promptly.
- Complete inspection records accurately.
Production Support
- Assist in machine setup and tooling changeovers as directed by the Setter/Technician.
- Perform material handling and replenish production materials when required.
- Pack finished goods according to work instructions.
- Support inventory counting and stock control activities.
Housekeeping & Safety
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
- Follow all safety regulations, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses immediately.
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in quality, productivity, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.
