Job Description:
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision engineering components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Create, modify and optimize CNC programmer for machining operations.
- Perform tool selection, tool setting and machine adjustments.
- Carry out in-process inspection and ensure machined parts meet the required specifications.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of CNC machines.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Follow production schedules, quality requirements and company procedures.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience in CNC machining and programming.
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of CNC milling machines and machining processes.
- Experience with CNC programming software such as Mastercam will be an advantage.
- Able to use measuring instruments such as vernier calipers and micrometers.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to work overtime when required.
- Relevant technical qualifications or certifications will be an advantage.
