temper. Wine Room & Lounge is looking for a skilled and driven Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. You'll take ownership of your section, delivering consistent, high-quality dishes that complement our wine-led dining experience, while working closely with the rest of the kitchen brigade to keep service running smoothly.
What You'll Do
- Take full ownership of an assigned kitchen section (e.g. grill, pastry, cold kitchen, sauces — as assigned), ensuring dishes are prepared to standard and plated consistently
- Prepare mise en place ahead of service and manage stock levels for your station
- Follow recipes, portioning, and presentation standards set by the Head Chef/Sous Chef
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation in line with food safety and hygiene standards
- Communicate clearly with the rest of the kitchen team during service to ensure smooth ticket flow
- Support with stocktakes, ordering, and minimizing wastage
- Stay updated on menu changes, specials, and wine-pairing considerations relevant to the kitchen
What We're Looking For
- Prior experience as a Chef de Partie or a strong Demi Chef de Partie ready to step up, ideally in a restaurant, bar, or fine dining/casual dining environment
- Solid knowledge of kitchen fundamentals, food safety, and hygiene practices
- Able to work efficiently under pressure during service
- Team player with good communication skills
- Willing to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Work Schedule
- 5-day work week, 44 hours/week. Overtime pay for hours beyond 44/week
