M&E Technician – Malls & Office Buildings
Job Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance and repair works for malls, commercial buildings and office facilities.
- Carry out routine inspections of mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems, including air-conditioning, electrical, lighting and plumbing systems.
- Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults, water leaks, equipment breakdowns and other building maintenance issues.
- Attend to maintenance requests and ensure facilities remain safe, functional and well-maintained.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to minimise equipment breakdowns and operational disruptions.
- Liaise with external contractors and vendors for servicing, repairs and scheduled maintenance works.
- Monitor building facilities and report defects or technical issues requiring further attention.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with workplace safety standards and operational procedures.
Job Requirements
- Relevant experience in M&E maintenance, facilities maintenance or building maintenance.
- Candidates with maintenance experience in shopping malls, commercial buildings or office environments are preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, air-conditioning, plumbing and general building services.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and carrying out minor repairs.
- Able to work independently and coordinate with contractors when required.
- Responsible, proactive and willing to perform hands-on maintenance duties.
