The Role:
- Perform assigned duties diligently at the work-station by observing the established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Food Safety and Work Safety Standards.
- Weigh, clean and cut all types and sizes of meat for customers accurately according to standards and requirements.
- Attend to customer’s queries and needs promptly in a friendly, courteous and efficient manner to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Apply product knowledge by assisting customers in their meat and poultry purchase by advising them what is ideal for the type of food to be prepared.
- Replenish upright chiller and showcase according to display requirements set to maintain a good and “full” display at all times. FIFO practice to be observed at all times.
- Upkeep freshness and ensure high quality standards when handling goods at the meat cutting station, displaying goods at the chiller/showcase and arranging goods in the coldroom.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping, cleanliness, personal grooming and hygiene at all times to reflect a good company image.
