Job Description:
- Operations & Admin: Assist the Mart Manager in executing daily mart operations, overseeing routine workflows, and covering floor shifts during manpower shortages.
- Inventory & Sourcing: Perform regular stock audits, monitor inventory levels, and liaise with suppliers to source competitively priced, high-demand products to drive profit margins.
- Merchandising & Profitability: Oversee product placement, accurate price displays, shelf cleanliness, and eye-catching setups to maximize store sales and minimize shrinkage.
- Marketing Execution: Coordinate with the Marketing team to set up, display, and promote print and social media promotional campaigns on the store floor.
- Team Leadership: Assist in managing staff schedules, training team members on SOP compliance, conducting performance reviews, and driving overall workplace efficiency.
- Store Upkeep: Enforce food hygiene, cleanliness, safety, and equipment maintenance standards across all store premises.
- Guest Relations: Lead by example to maintain high customer service standards, handling complex customer inquiries or complaints with a warm welcome and fond farewell.
- Agility & Support: Adapt flexibly to take on additional operational responsibilities and carry out any duties assigned by Management.
Requirements:
- Minimum education level of a diploma or degree in Retail Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent operational experience).
- At least 2–3 years of supervisory or team lead experience in a retail, mart, grocery, or convenience store environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, stock audits, merchandising standards, and vendor coordination.
- Proven leadership and communication skills with the ability to schedule, train, and motivate a retail team.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems, retail analytics, and basic budget/margin control.
- Flexibility to work on rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays in a fast-paced environment.
