JOB OVERVIEW
As an Ambulance Driver at Medlink Healthcare Group (MHG), you will be a key member of our Emergency and Medical Transport team. Your primary role will involve operating MHG’s ambulances to facilitate the safe and efficient transportation of patients. This includes managing scheduled patient transfers, hospital discharges, and responding to emergency and non-emergency ad-hoc cases. You will play a vital role in ensuring timely and professional service to patients and their families.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safely and efficiently drive MHG ambulances to transport patients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities.
- Respond promptly to ad-hoc emergency and non-emergency cases as required.
- Assist medical personnel in loading and unloading patients from the ambulance, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance of the ambulance to ensure it is in good working condition, including fuel, cleanliness, and necessary equipment.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and MHG operational procedures to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and the public.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, patient information, and other relevant data as required by MHG policies.
- Provide basic assistance and support to patients as needed during transport, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills, including defensive driving, emergency response, and medical assistance.
- Take on secondary appointments or administrative duties when assigned by management.
- Perform other related tasks as required by the management team.
