Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented technician to perform equipment assembly, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair in a cleanroom environment. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with electrical, electromechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic systems while following technical documentation and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble, test, maintain, and repair electrical and electromechanical equipment.
Troubleshoot and rectify faults in assemblies, subassemblies, and individual components.
Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions.
Conduct functional testing using test fixtures, measuring instruments, vacuum pumps, and leak detectors.
Inspect incoming parts and components to ensure quality and completeness.
Perform basic programming, software installation, and equipment configuration when required.
Maintain accurate job records, work progress updates, and labour reports.
Work independently while providing technical support and guidance to junior team members when necessary.
Requirements:
Technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
Hands-on experience in equipment assembly, testing, troubleshooting, or repair is an advantage.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
Familiarity with electrical testing tools and mechanical or pneumatic systems.
Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Who Can Apply?
NITEC or Diploma qualification
No experience required — entry-level candidates are welcome
Willingness to perform hands-on technical work in a cleanroom environment
Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including prolonged standing, lifting, and working in confined or restricted areas
Comfortable handling PPE, tech
