Key Responsibilities
- Operate a 24-foot lorry to transport loose cargo and goods safely to designated locations.
- Carry out timely collection and delivery of cargo according to assigned schedules.
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods manually when required, especially at locations where pallet jacks, forklifts or other material-handling equipment are not available.
- Check delivery orders and ensure the correct quantity and type of goods are collected and delivered.
- Inspect the vehicle before and after each trip and report any defects, damage or maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the assigned vehicle.
- Comply with traffic regulations, workplace safety requirements and Company procedures at all times.
- Handle delivery documents and obtain acknowledgement or proof of delivery where required.
- Perform other transportation or operational duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Possess a valid Singapore Class 4 driving licence.
- Relevant experience driving a 24-foot lorry or similar heavy vehicle is preferred.
- Familiar with Singapore roads and delivery routes.
- Able to work independently and follow delivery schedules.
- Responsible, punctual and safety-conscious.
