Job Description
We are looking for a responsible and motivated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team.
The ideal candidate should be hardworking, willing to learn, and able to work well in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily food preparation and cooking.
- Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and kitchen standards.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Follow food safety procedures and proper food storage practices.
- Check ingredients and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO).
- Assist with inventory checks and receiving deliveries.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Carry out other duties assigned by the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
Requirements
- Previous kitchen experience is preferred.
- Basic cooking and knife skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Responsible, punctual, and hardworking.
- Willing to learn and take instructions.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good attitude and teamwork skills.
- Able to work on weekends and public holidays.
