Job Summary
YEARN, a growing entrepreneurial food and beverage brand, is seeking a Commis Cook to join its teppan team in an open-kitchen setting. You will support the team in delivering high-quality dishes during peak service while contributing to a engaging guest experience. This is a full-time role suited to someone who enjoys combining technical skill with confident presentation.
Job Description
- Prepare ingredients and assist with teppan cooking, working alongside the team at one of three teppan stations during peak periods
- Deliver consistent, high-quality dishes at pace while engaging with guests through confident technique and presentation
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, kitchen cleanliness and workplace safety at all times
- Contribute ideas to refine kitchen processes and the guest experience as the brand grows
Job Requirements
- Practical teppan cooking experience, with sound knife skills and efficient, tidy technique
- Comfortable working in an open kitchen and interacting with guests
- Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices
- Willingness to work full time (six days a week, ten hours per day) and collaborate within a diverse, team-oriented environment
