JOB SUMMARY:
The Part-Time Specialist – Centre Management System Support is responsible for the daily operations, maintenance and upkeep of exhibits, AV equipment, facilities and essential services across Defence Collective Singapore (DCS) centres/museums, ensuring a safe, functional and comfortable environment for employees and visitors.
Subject to performance assessment and suitability, the role may offer an opportunity for conversion to full-time employment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform daily startup and shutdown of facilities, exhibits, attractions and projection systems.
- Carry out routine maintenance and repairs of plumbing, electrical, AV, HVAC, mechanical and exhibition equipment.
- Monitor building systems, including fire protection and security systems, to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors and service providers (e.g. cleaning, landscaping, pest control, car park and security), ensuring work meets DCS standards and safety requirements.
- Set up AV systems, furniture and equipment for events and organised visits.
- Monitor maintenance inventory, recommend replenishment of critical spares and consumables, and support facilities improvement projects.
- Respond to emergencies, equipment failures and facility-related incidents to minimise risks and operational disruptions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- N/O-Level, NITEC or relevant professional certificate.
- Preferably 1 year of relevant experience; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Able to work independently, under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with CMMS or facilities management software is an advantage.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual work, including prolonged standing, frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling and lifting.
- Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
