Swee Choon Tim Sum — ION Orchard (opening September)
We've been making dim sum in Singapore since 1962. This September we open at ION Orchard, and we're hiring the crew who will open it.
Salary — $3,000/month
Basic $2,240 + overtime $764, itemised separately on your payslip every month.
CPF, annual leave, paid public holidays and medical leave — full-time terms from day one.
The hours — read this before you apply
6 days a week. 10 hours a day, including a 1-hour break. It's a longer week than most jobs — better you know now than in week two. The overtime above is already built into the $3,000; it isn't a maybe.
The job
Taking orders, serving dim sum, running a section through service. Orchard is busy and it moves fast. You'll be on your feet, and the team does it together.
Being opening crew
You'll be trained before we open, and paid through training. Opening crew learn the outlet before the first customer walks in — which is why opening crew are usually the first ones promoted. If you want to run a section, then a shift, this is the door.

Who we're looking for
- Singapore Citizens and PRs (we don't sponsor work passes for this role)
- Able to work a 6-day week on rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Comfortable on your feet through a busy service
- Enough English or Mandarin to take an order and work with the team
Previous experience on a busy service floor is required — restaurant, café, hawker, banquet, fast food, or a busy counter. We’ll train you on our stations and pay you for it, but this isn’t a first job.
