Summary
The Airside Manager is responsible for overseeing daily airside operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery across airline, baggage, cargo, and support services. The role manages operational teams, airline relationships, compliance, staffing, and operational performance within assigned terminals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day airside operations, including arrivals, departures, baggage handling, cargo transfers, and support services.
- Lead and develop Duty Managers and airside operational teams.
- Act as the primary escalation and contact point for airlines and operational issues.
- Oversee aircraft cleaning, airside support services, and airline account management.
- Ensure operational readiness, audit compliance, incident reporting, and SLA achievement.
- Coordinate airline audits, system trials, terminal transitions, and operational projects.
- Monitor operational performance, staffing levels, and employee certifications.
- Support workforce development, performance management, and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements
- Degree from a recognized institution or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in airline, airport, or ground handling operations management.
- Strong knowledge of passenger service and airport operations.
- Proven ability to lead large teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and make sound operational decisions.
- Willing to perform shift duties and be available for 24/7 operational escalations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional candidates may be considered for a Senior Terminal Manager position
