Ebb & Flow Group is opening an exciting new Mediterranean restaurant concept at Dempsey Hill, and we're looking for a Floor Captain to help lead our front-of-house team from day one. As part of our founding opening team, you'll play a key role in setting the tone for guest experience and service standards at this brand-new outlet.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate front-of-house operations during service, ensuring smooth, attentive, and well-paced guest experiences
- Service flow, menu knowledge, and guest interactions
- Understand before each shift on reservations, specials, and service priorities
- Monitor table turnover, seating, and overall floor operations to optimise service efficiency
- Uphold and reinforce service standards, presentation, and cleanliness across the dining area
- Liaise closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service
- Contribute to shaping floor service standards and procedures as part of a new restaurant opening
What We're Looking For
- Prior experience as a Floor Captain, Waiter, or front-of-house role, ideally in a restaurant or bar setting
- Guest-focused mindset with a calm, solutions-oriented approach under pressure
- Familiarity with Mediterranean/Middle Eastern cuisine and dining culture is a plus, but not required
- Excited to be part of a new restaurant opening and help shape its service culture from the ground up
- Willing to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Work Schedule
- 5-day work week, 44 hours/week. Overtime pay for hours beyond 44/week
