We are looking for a Demi Chef who is passionate about food, takes pride in maintaining high kitchen standards, and is ready to take on responsibility as a station-in-charge.

Salary

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant kitchen experience.
  • Good knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations and food safety standards.
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of an assigned kitchen station.
  • Responsible, organised and a good team player.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take charge of an assigned kitchen station and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Carry out food preparation and mise en place according to required quality, hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Ensure all food produced meets the required quality and presentation standards.
  • Assist with food purchasing and inventory requirements when necessary.
  • Supervise Demi Chefs and Kitchen Assistants to ensure food preparation is carried out according to SOPs.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organisation and proper hygiene standards at the assigned station at all times.
  • Monitor and control food wastage to minimise costs.
  • Assist the Chef and kitchen team with other operational duties as required.
