We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Executive to support our procurement operations. This role involves sourcing vendors, issuing purchase orders, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective supply of materials. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams and suppliers to support smooth purchasing processes, particularly in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate potential vendors based on quality, pricing, and lead times
- Obtain and compare quotations to identify cost-effective and reliable suppliers
- Issue purchase orders to suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms
- Coordinate delivery schedules to ensure materials arrive on time and align with production timelines
- Verify that goods received are accurate, complete, and free from damage
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier agreements, and transactions
- Handle and track goods throughout the purchasing process
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure procurement meets operational needs
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to support purchasing decisions
- Resolve supplier issues professionally and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Provide administrative support for procurement activities
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
- Able to communicate in Mandarin with our Chinese vendors
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, or a similar role preferred
- Familiarity with vendor sourcing, negotiation, and supply chain processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
