Job Summary
We are looking for a hardworking and responsible Prata Cook Cum Kitchen Assistant to support the daily operations of our restaurant. The role involves preparing and cooking prata and other food items, preparing beverages, assisting with food service and customer service, as well as maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Cooking
- Prepare and cook prata and other menu items according to the restaurant's recipes and standards.
- Prepare ingredients including dough, sauces, curries and other food items.
- Operate cooking equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure food is properly cooked, presented and served according to company standards.
- Assist with preparation of takeaway and dine-in orders.
Drinks & Beverage Preparation
- Prepare beverages such as teh, kopi, Milo, soft drinks and other menu beverages.
- Ensure drinks are prepared according to the required recipes and portion standards.
- Keep the beverage preparation area clean and properly stocked.
Serving & Customer Service
- Take customer orders accurately and process orders promptly.
- Serve food and drinks to customers.
- Maintain a friendly, polite and professional attitude towards customers.
- Assist with takeaway and delivery orders.
Kitchen & Outlet Operations
- Assist with receiving, storing and organising food ingredients and supplies.
- Monitor stock levels and inform the supervisor when supplies are running low.
- Assist other kitchen staff during busy periods.
- Maintain an orderly and efficient kitchen and work area.
- Cleaning & Hygiene
- Clean cooking equipment, utensils, work surfaces and kitchen areas.
- Wash dishes, plates, cups and utensils as required.
- Clean tables, floors and other restaurant areas.
- Dispose of rubbish and food waste properly.
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and food safety at all times.
- Follow all applicable Singapore food hygiene and safety requirements.
