Job Summary:
The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and housekeeping standards within the industrial premises, including manufacturing areas, offices, and common facilities. The role ensures a safe, clean, and organized working environment by performing daily cleaning duties in accordance with company requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain manufacturing areas, offices, pantry, toilets, and common facilities.
- Perform sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and general housekeeping duties.
- Ensure production areas meet cleanliness and safety requirements.
- Ensure meeting rooms, pantry and coffee stations are clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times.
- Dispose of waste properly according to company procedures.
- Replenish cleaning supplies and maintain cleaning equipment.
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely and follow workplace safety procedures.
- Report any safety hazards, damages, or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
- Support cleaning activities during audits, inspections, or special events.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing or production environment.
- Exposure to noise, dust, cleaning chemicals, and varying temperatures.
- Requires prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
Requirements:
- Primary or secondary school education is preferred.
- WSQ Cleaning Course certification is an advantage.
- Previous cleaning or manufacturing experience is an advantage.
- Physically fit and able to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Able to work independently and maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety and hygiene practices.
