Assembly Technician (Tuas/ AWS + VB)
JOBĀ DESCRIPTION
- Assemble and install mechanical parts and equipment.
Follow drawings, work instructions, and assembly procedures.
Align and adjust components for accurate and smooth operation.
Check leveling, straightness, parallelism, squareness, and tolerances.
Use precision tools such as dial indicators, micrometers, gauges, and levels.
Tighten fasteners according to specified torque requirements.
Perform mechanical inspection and quality checks.
Record inspection results and complete required documentation.
Identify and report defects or abnormal conditions.
Follow safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Experience inĀ mechanical assembly, fitting, or machine building.
- Able to readĀ mechanical drawings and work instructions.
- Able to useĀ precision measurement tools.
- Basic knowledge ofĀ mechanical tolerances and torque.
- NITEC, Higher NITEC, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- Experience withĀ precision or industrial equipmentĀ is an advantage.
