Key responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the warehouse team during night shift operations, ensuring all staff comply with safety protocols and company policies
- Monitor and coordinate warehouse activities including receiving, storing, picking, packing and despatch of goods
- Conduct daily briefings and allocate tasks to team members to ensure efficient workflow and on-time deliveries
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checks to ensure accuracy and accountability
- Identify and resolve operational issues that arise during night shift operations, escalating concerns to management when necessary
- Ensure all warehouse equipment is maintained in good working order and report any maintenance requirements
- Train and mentor warehouse staff on best practices, procedures and safety standards
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as picking accuracy, productivity rates and safety metrics
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to communicate shift updates, delivery schedules and any operational challenges
What we're looking for
- Proven supervisory or team lead experience in a warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment, preferably in a night shift setting
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfilment and stock control procedures
- Demonstrated ability to motivate, lead and develop team members effectively
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and relevant IT applications
- Ability to work independently during night shifts whilst maintaining communication with management
- Flexibility to work night shift hours on a consistent basis
