Job Description
- Industry/ Organization Type: Waste Management/ RecyclingChemical Engineering Technician
- Position Title: Chemical Engineering Technician
- Working Location: Tuas (Company transport provided)
- Working Hours: Rotating 12-hrs Shift (8am - 8pm/ 8pm - 8am)
- Salary Package: Basic + Shift Allowances + OT + AWS +Bonus
- Duration: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Supervisor in daily plant operations, including sludge pit and weighbridge activities.
- Support safe and efficient treatment of DWS and DS.
- Monitor and optimize utility consumption.
- Monitor DWS and DS hopper levels and coordinate with crane operators to prevent unnecessary plant shutdowns.
- Inspect dried sludge regularly and adjust feed rates to maintain required incinerator and dryer temperatures.
- Ensure sludge transfer pumps are in good working condition and report issues promptly.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and corrective actions for operational issues.
- Conduct routine plant patrols, monitor equipment and processes.
- Comply with all EHS requirements.

- Minimum NITEC or Diploma qualification.
- At least 1 year of experience in process operations or a related industrial environment.
- Willing to work on a rotating shift schedule.
- Comfortable working in outdoor environments.
- Forklift license is an added advantage.
