Electrical Technician (West/ AWS + VB)
Job Description
- Assemble and install electrical panels, components, motors, sensors, switches, cables, and safety devices.
- Perform correct wiring, crimping, labeling, grounding, and installation.
- Set and adjust electrical protection devices, controls, and input/output systems.
- Configure electrical controls for air, hydraulic, lubrication, and cooling systems when required.
- Test emergency stops, safety interlocks, switches, indicator lights, and other safety functions.
- Check motor/axis movement, sensor signals, feedback, alarms, and warning indicators.
- Support basic machine testing before final operation.Complete electrical inspection and quality records accurately.
-Identify wiring issues, loose connections, alarms, signal problems, sensor faults, and motor rotation issues.
-Follow electrical safety procedures, including lockout/tagout where required.
Requirements:
- NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Electrical, Mechatronics or a related field, or equivalent practical electrical assembly experience.
- Hands on experience in electrical assembly or electrical installation.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and electrical drawings, perform electrical checks and adjustments, use basic electrical measuring instruments (e.g. multimeter) and understanding of electrical safety principles, grounding, and protection devices.
