Job Description
We are looking for a QC Engineer to maintain product and process quality across our manufacturing operations. The role will work closely with Production, Warehouse, Purchasing and other departments to ensure quality standards are met and issues are properly addressed.
Work Location: Tampoi, Johor Bahru (Factory-based)
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct IQC inspections for raw materials, purchased parts and components.
- Perform IPQC/PQC checks to ensure production processes meet required standards.
- Conduct FQC/OQC inspections before finished products are released.
- Maintain QC reports, inspection records, checklists, SOPs and quality documentation.
- Identify non-conformances, investigate root causes and follow up on corrective actions.
- Monitor supplier-related quality issues and coordinate follow-up where necessary.
- Assist with customer complaints, returns and warranty-related quality issues.
- Monitor calibration of measuring and inspection equipment.
- Work with relevant departments on process improvement and defect reduction.
- Ensure quality requirements and company standards are consistently followed.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Quality, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Relevant experience in QC/QA, manufacturing, automotive or engineering.
- Knowledge of IQC, IPQC/PQC and FQC/OQC.
- Able to understand technical drawings, specifications and inspection requirements.
- Experience in defect investigation, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Good documentation, communication and problem-solving skills.
- ISO 9001, CAPA, 8D, 5 Why or Fishbone Analysis experience is an advantage.
- Able to communicate in English, Mandarin and Malay.
