Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook Western dishes to high standards of taste and food products according to standard recipes, specifications and quality requirements.
- Support daily food production and processing activities, ensuring consistent taste, quality, portion and presentation.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, kitchen cleanliness and workplace safety in compliance with applicable SFA food safety requirements.
- Follow and maintain standard recipes, production processes and SOPs to ensure product consistency.
- Monitor production quantities, stock rotation and ingredient usage to minimise food wastage and production losses.
- Assist with inventory control, raw material preparation and stock management.
- Conduct basic quality checks on ingredients and finished food products to ensure they meet company standards.
- Supervise, guide and train junior kitchen/production staff on food preparation, production procedures and hygiene practices.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, food safety requirements, workplace safety standards and good manufacturing practices(GMP).
- Assist with new product development, recipe testing and production improvement initiatives, where required.
Job Requirements:
- 2–5 years of relevant experience as a Western Chef, Food Production Chef or similar role, preferably in a food manufacturing/food processing environment.
