Responsibilities
1. Prepare and cook chicken rice according to standardized guidelines, ensuring consistency in flavor, sauces, plating, and hygiene standards
2. Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic work area
3. Monitor and ensure the freshness of ingredients and their proper storage
4. Assist with daily food preparation tasks, including washing, cutting, and portioning chicken; boiling chicken; cooking rice; and preparing soups, sauces, and side dishes
5. Assist with plating chicken rice, soups, and side dishes during peak hours
6. Complete all prep work before service begins and restock promptly during operating hours
7. Work closely with the Head Chef/Sous Chef to ensure efficient and smooth kitchen operations
8. Communicate promptly with the Sous Chef regarding issues related to inventory, equipment, or workflows
9. Adhere to portion control and waste reduction principles to help manage food costs
Job Requirements:
Hold a valid food hygiene certificate
Have relevant work experience
Be positive, proactive, reliable, and a team player
Work 6 days a week, including weekends and public holidays
Be able to adapt to a fast-paced kitchen environment
