Job Responsibilities:
- Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
- Studies specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
- Translate drawings over to workable and buildable projects
- Cut, shape timber according to measurements/requirements
- Installation of wooden fixtures such as cabinets or shelving unit
- Maintenance of differing wooden fixtures or repairs
- Prepare accurate measurements specifications by using rulers, plumb bops, levels, framing squares
- Designing items or components of items according to drawings
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Can speak and write basic English
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings
- Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials
- Good understanding of basic Math
- Good physical condition and endurance
- Understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
