- 3-5 years of experience in production/application support within investment banking, capital markets, or a broader financial services environment
- Strong understanding of capital markets products: Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives, or Commodities (front-to-back lifecycle)
- Hands-on experience with SQL (complex queries, stored procedures) for data investigation
- Working knowledge of Unix/Linux commands, shell scripting for troubleshooting and automation
- Experience with job scheduling tools (Control-M, Autosys, or similar)
- Familiarity with messaging middleware (MQ, Kafka, Solace) and file transfer protocols (SFTP, Connect:Direct)
- Exposure to monitoring tools (Splunk, Geneos, AppDynamics, Grafana, ITRS)
- Understanding of trade lifecycle: execution → booking → confirmation → clearing → settlement
- ITIL foundation knowledge (Incident, Problem, Change Management)
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills under time pressure
Preferred/Good to Have
- Exposure to FIX protocol and trade messaging standards (SWIFT, ISO 20022)
- Basic scripting/programming knowledge (Python, Java) for log analysis or tooling
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) if the environment is hybrid/cloud-migrated
- Prior experience supporting regulatory reporting systems (MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, EMIR)
- ITIL v3/v4 certification

- Ability to work under pressure during market hours and high-severity incidents
- Strong stakeholder management — comfortable communicating with traders and senior business heads
- Ownership mindset with attention to detail
- Willingness to work in shifts (including US/EU market hours overlap, occasional weekend releases)
Work Hours / Shift May include rotational shifts and on-call/weekend support for releases or DR
