About Us
Metta Home for the Disabled and Metta Home Day Activity Centre provide long-term residential and day care services for adults aged 18–55 with intellectual disabilities. Our mission is to equip them with essential life skills, enhance independence, and support social integration through holistic and compassionate care.
Your Role
As a Nursing Aide, you will support daily care needs, assist with medical routines, and help ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
🩺 Client Care & Support
- Dispense medication and assist with dressing wounds
- Conduct routine checks for hypertension and diabetes
- Maintain residents’ personal hygiene and grooming
- Supervise Health Attendants and assist with ADLs
- Monitor eating habits and provide feeding/toilet training when needed
🧠 Medical & Activity Support
- Coordinate and accompany clients for medical appointments
- Support physiotherapy routines and daily exercises
- Facilitate activity programmes (e.g. art & craft)
- Observe and report behavioural concerns to supervisors
- Respond to emergencies and perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- 1–3 years of nursing care experience (special needs experience preferred)
- Certificate/Diploma in Nursing or equivalent
- Able to commit to 3 rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Caring, responsible, and able to work in a multi-disciplinary team
- Service-oriented with strong communication skills
