Key Responsibilities
- Assist in daily food preparation and cooking, ensuring dishes are prepared to the required standards.
- Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, portioning, and presentation.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth, efficient, and well-coordinated daily operations.
- Comply with all food hygiene, workplace safety, and SFA requirements.
- Keep kitchen stations clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn new cooking techniques, recipes, and kitchen processes.
- Assist in monitoring inventory, managing stock levels, and preparing stock orders when required.
- Receive and inspect deliveries to ensure all ingredients meet quality, freshness, and safety standards.
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, labelling, and rotation to maintain ingredient freshness and minimize wastage.
- Follow standardized recipes, portioning guidelines, and plating standards to ensure consistency across all dishes.
- Support effective waste management and sustainable kitchen practices.
- Carry out any other kitchen-related duties as assigned to support the smooth running of the restaurant.
